The study of human nature, emotions and principles of human communication led Štefan to the Theater. In addition to devoting himself to Argentine tango, like most members of the Marianna Arzumanová Theater ensemble, his time is also spent on boxing, poor singing and theatrical improvisations.

Štefan heads the Prague part of the German stock exchange department, and perhaps it was his work for the German stock exchange that initially predestined him to collect rents from other actors for the premises for the then-emerging theater.
